Just a reminder that June 1st is our deadline for Letters of Interest for our Fall grant cycle.  Our Fall grant cycle is dedicated to making awards in the Environment and Health & Human Services categories.  Please see "Apply for a Grant" for our specific focuses in each of those categories.  And do let us know if you have any questions.

Site visits are complete and the board is spending the next few weeks reading grant proposals.  The board is scheduled to meet on June 5th to award grants in our Spring grant cycle.  Stay tuned.

Just a quick note to let all of you know that our board reviewed the LOIs for our Spring 2012 grant cycle and I'll be getting back to all applicants before the end of next week with instructions on next steps.  As typical, we received many more LOIs than we can invite to submit grant proposals.  It is wonderful to see all of the great work that our nonprofits are doing for the community!

Wanted to share the news with you that the board agreed to remove the requirement to send hardcopies of the LOIs and grant proposals.  Please use the electronic submission tools on our website to submit your applications, etc.

Our Spring grant cycle is closed.  We are no longer accepting LOIs in the areas of Areas of Arts & Culture and Education.  Our board is meeting in late February to discuss all of the LOIs in these two areas then we'll be getting back to you with further instructions.  Our Spring grants will be made in the June 2012 timeframe so you may not have heard anything back from us.

Our Fall grant cycle is open.  We are accepting LOIs in the areas of Environment and Health & Human Services.  So, check out Current Grant Focuses on our website.

Remember, we change our focuses regularly and post them about one year in advance of a particular grant cycle.  Check our website a couple times per year.

Welcome to our new website!  We redesigned the website and hope that you find this one easier to use.  Tell us what you think about it.

Highlights of specific changes:
  • You can submit your LOI or grant proposal online via the submission tools.  Our goal is to go completely paperless but we aren't quite there yet as some of our board members continue to prefer paper copies.
  • Please note:  My foundation email address:  mgoodman@goodmanfamilyfoundation.org is going away in a few months.  I'm using my personal email address instead:  michele.goodman at gmail.com.  You can also send email to us directly from the Contact Us form on our website.
